Our hotel is perfectly located; next to the Central Station, Beatrix theater and the Jaarbeurs. Our guests can walk straight through the shopping center Hoog Catharijne into the city center. Our hotel is the largest hotel in Utrecht and we have a nice mix of business and leisure guests. During the week we welcome many conference-, meeting- and trade fair guests. In the weekend we mainly welcome guests who enjoy leisure activities. In short, every day is full of surprises. New colleagues are instantly welcomed into our team, and we have welcomed many colleagues from other NH hotels for the next step in their career. We often work together with our cluster hotel NH Centre Utrecht (Janskerkhof) and it could happen that you are also scheduled to work there occasionally. What are you going to do?
During this internship you will become familiar with all facets of the hotel industry. First, you will work at all the departments to be trained. After that, you independently fulfil the role of Manager on Duty. You are part of the Management Team and you are the first contact for guests. You assist guests with questions, comments and complaints and, if necessary, you assist at other departments whenever it is needed most. You know the hotel, your colleagues and the guests like no other. As a result, your knowledge and skills in the field of Hotel Management are developed quickly and you will be fully prepared for your career as a Young Professional in the hospitality industry.
